Senior Account Manager – Key Requirements
  1. In 2nd Quartile of career (Each quartile is about 10 years). 
    1. Progression from sales representative to account management evident.
  2. Sales experience managing accounts > $5 million dollars per year in sales.
    1. Direct experience with OEM/Industrial manufacturers, not through distribution.
  3. Sales experience in bulk chemicals preferred.
  4. Prefer candidates that are located near enough to KOP to commute to office.
    1. Or near a major international airport near our customer base.
  5. Prefer candidates with a technical degree, preferably chemistry.
  6. If not a technical degree, need chemical sales.
  7. Polyurethanes component chemical sales preferred:
    1. i.e. BASF, Dow, Invista, Stepan, Covestro, Air Products, Evonik, Tosoh, Monument, Huntsman, Synthesia, COIM, etc.
  8. Travel experience by air required.  Must be able to manage activities with accounts while maintaining a travel schedule up to 60%.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or science needed to understand the technical, financial and economic aspects of the job
  • 10+ years experience in sales and/or marketing; previous foam industry experience is a plus
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, presentation skills, negotiating skills
  • Able to interact with and influence internal employees and customers at all levels (up to the C level)
  • Develop and execute Key Account Plans:  tactics, assignments, rationale, due dates, deliverables
  • Demonstrated success in contract negotiation, closing sales, finding new sales and bringing ideas forward that may add value to the overall company
  • Ability to understand customer needs and desires within the context of Company's account goals
  • Able to cope with a travel schedule that may require travel to 60% of the time
