Job Description

In this position, to be located at their corporate offices near Philadelphia, PA, you will manage a team of approximately six field sales people.  You will support and manage your team having an expert understanding of the team's critical customers, industry and market dynamics.  

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing and achieving the team's sales volume, price, margin and strategic goals with a focus on promoting profitable growth, long-term retention and satisfaction of the North America customer base.  You will work closely with business unit managers and directors and new business development managers to identify growth opportunities.  

You will work in close cooperation with other Managers/Directors across the business unit and the Company network, including those in Sales, Business Leadership, Business Development, Customer Service, R&D, Supply Chain and Manufacturing. 

KEY:  Your demonstrated abilities to develop strong relations with customers and to teach your sales team to do same

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in a technical field such as Chemistry, Engineering, or related discipline
  • MBA preferred
  • 10-12 plus years of experience in chemical/technical sales or business selling or marketing preferred; 3 years experience managing strategic/global customers preferred.  Business development experience a plus
  • Experience selling with specialty and/or commodity chemicals
